To celebrate the 100th anniversary of his arrival, in 1997 the Sidney Myer Fund, The Myer Foundation and the descendants of Sidney Myer proposed a four-year program of grants and activities called the Sidney Myer Centenary Celebration 1899-1999.

2009 Commemorative Grants Program

On 18 November 2008 The Myer Foundation and the Sidney Myer Fund together announced the 2009 Commemorative Grants Program, marking the 75th anniversary of the Sidney Myer Fund and 50th anniversary of The Myer Foundation.
