Myer Innovation Fellowships 2020
June 20th, 2019
Got a great idea in your bottom drawer? How about 12 months and $120,000 to bring it into the light?
Over the past six years Myer Innovation Fellowship program has empowered 18 extraordinary individuals to realise their big idea. Among others, we’ve supported Marita Cheng AO (MIF 2016) to power ahead with robotics, Sophie Weldon (MIF 2015) to unleash the power of belonging for communities, and Emma Koster (MIF 2017) to empower people living with family violence with information.
The Myer Innovation Fellowship program seeks exceptional leaders across all sectors (private, public and non-profit) and from all types of professional backgrounds. We are looking for the powerful combination of the break-through idea and the capacity of the applicant to bring it to fruition.
Now we’re looking for the 2020 Fellows. This time around we have added a new area of work: Human, Civil and Legal Rights. It joins Sustainability and Environment, Education, and Poverty and Disadvantage as the themes to which applicants are asked to align their projects.
In 2020 three Fellows will each receive $120,000 along with up to $30,000 for operational expenses for their 12 month commitment to the program.
