Australian Native Grasslands
Australian Native Grasslands: Guiding Landscapes and Communities in Transition
This project explores the values driving the management of grassland conservation reserves and the influence of these values on grassland quality. Historical data collation and field monitoring has been carried out for grassland sites in the West of Melbourne, and interviews with grassland managers conducted. Community attitudes towards grasslands, and the influence of these attitudes on management values was also explored. The findings in each of these areas, and the interaction of the parts, contributes to a greater understanding of how grasslands can best be managed in an urban context.
